Cerulean is a small kennel, as I place emphasis on the quality of puppies produced, not the quantity. Within my breeding program, I strive to maintain good health and temperament while contributing to the Belgian Tervuren breed by consistently producing exceptional structure and movement.
The dogs that reside here are my beloved kids. They live in the house with us and travel the country as my competition partners in a variety of doggie events. The "kids" are better traveled than most people! When they aren't showing, they live for hiking and backpacking. Of course, they're happy just to jump in the car for a ride to the gas station!
I feel a strong sense of responsibility for the puppies I produce, for their entire lifetime. As a result, I am very picky about the homes they go to. I develop a relationship with my prospective homes that continues for the life of the puppy. That's not to say that I wish to maintain control over your puppy, that's not the point. The goal of staying connected is threefold. First, to ensure that the puppy remains in a safe, secure and happy environment. Secondly, I need to keep up to date on the health, temperament and structure of what I'm producing so that I have all the information required to make appropriate and informed breeding decisions. Finally, I serve as a continued resource of information on behavior, nutrition, training, conditioning, showing, or any other doggie questions that may arise. I don't have all the answers, but I do have the network of resources to get the information that is needed. There's always plenty to learn!
What can I say? My life has gone to the dogs!
I wouldn't have it any other way.
